Canine Coat and Nose Color Testing

DNA TEST

Presence of black liver colors, and black or brown nose. Nose color: light to dark brown or black as befits the color of the coat. Coat color: black, liver, golden liver or shades thereof, in any intensity (dark or light); either self-colored or bi-colored. Bi-colored dogs must be roaned and/or ticked in white areas. Tan points are acceptable on the aforementioned colors and are the same as any normally tan pointed breed. Dogs with a "K" allele will not show their tan points. White is allowed on the throat, chest, and/or brisket, and may be clear, ticked, or roaned on a self-color dog.

Each additional allele - $20.00*
* subject to HST for Canadian residents only.

Note: Mask gene (Em) is considered as an individual test, separate from other alleles in E locus.

To help you to calculate the proper amount, please review the following example:
Testing for 3 alleles - E, B, and D - should be calculated as $65 + $20 + $20 = $105.00.
The price will be automaticaly calculated during the process of ordering a sample collection kit.
SAMPLES
The following sample(s) can be submitted for the testing:
1. Blood sample in a lavender top tube.

TEST RESULTS
Test results are usually available in 10 Business Days from the moment the samples arrive at the laboratory. Test results can be reported by e-mail, fax, or by phone.
CERTIFICATE OF RESULT
HealthGene will provide a certificate for each test result.
