Flat-coated Retriever

Flat-coated Retriever
BREED DESCRIPTION

Flat Coated Retriever may have originated from crossing continental water dogs, the Newfoundland and land spaniels, combined with Collie breeding to add to working ability and straighten the coat. The Flat Coated Retriever is an affectionate friend. A good-natured and optimistic canine, he`s inclined to be friendly to all he meets. He is sensible and intelligent; he also sports a good-humoured outlook on life.

The Flat Coated Retriever is a determined and resourceful retriever. Bright and active, he adapts well to city or country living provided he gets lots of outdoor exercise.
