DNA TEST:
Presence of black and brown colors, and black or brown nose.

BREED STANDARDS FOR COAT & NOSE COLORS:
Pudelpointers are always solid colored. Most are brown, but imported dogs are occasionally black. This DNA test allows breeders to determine which black dogs carry brown color.

Two types of samples can be submitted for this DNA test:
- A blood sample in a lavender (EDTA) tube;
- Cheek swabs

TEST RESULTS:
Test results are usually available in 10 business days from the moment the samples arrive at the laboratory. Test results can be reported by e-mail, fax, or by phone.
